    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this very nice 1 Script Jug made for the merchant "J. J. O' Connor"

     

    There are jugs made for this merchant stamped by the Farrington Pottery in Elmira, N.Y. (1887-1893) (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 75).

     

    Circa 1890, this beauty sports the Merchant's Name in Cobalt Script with an Underscore.  Stands 11" tall.

     

    Excellent Condition.  A minor pinhead-size nibble on the back of the spout, a 1/2" chip on the underside at the edge, and some overall light staining from use.  No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
