Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug made by "Jas. Benjamin, Stoneware Depot, Cincinnati, O."
 
Dating around 1880, this beauty boasts a Large Capacity Number Flanked by Maple Leavves, Four Lines of Company Advertising, and a Bottom Border of Vertical Dashes.   The stenciling is complete and strong which is not often the case with the stoneware made for this company.  Stands 13 3/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A couple minor nibbles and a 3/8" chip on the spout.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
