Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."   
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Finely Tooled Grooved Wax Sealer Rim, Slightly Canted Sides, and the Company Advertising in Four Lines.   Stands 8" tall. 
 
Very Good Condition.  Small chips around the inside of the rim, and some stain runs on the left side.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
