Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."   
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Wax Sealer Grooved Rim, Tooled Shoulder, Canted Sides, and a Two Top and Bottom Stripes Framing the Company Advertising Surrounding a Lily Pad.  All in vivid cobalt too.  Stands 9 3/4" tall
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  Salt drip on the right side in the making.
