Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "Jas. Hamilton & Co., Greensboro, PA."
 
James Hamilton ran his pottery in Greensboro from the 1860's to 1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Broad Top and Bottom Stripe that Frame the Comoant Advertising with Fancy Frills.  Great contrast between the rich cobalt and the medium gray glaze.  Stands 9 1/4" tall. 
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
