Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Jug with Incised Decoration.   
 
It is the work of Jerry Beaumont who inscribed his cross, initials, the date of 1978, and the decorator's initials "LP" on the bottom.  In my humble opinion, Mr. Beaumont has been and continues to be one of the best contemporary potters in America today.   
 
This beauty features a Petite 1/2 Gallon Size, Pottery Identification on the Bottom, and an Incised Flower Pot filled with Wild Flowers on the Front and another Flower on the Back.  Lots of detailed leaves and blossoms with incised outlines with cobalt filling.  Very beautiful cobalt.  Stands 9 5/8" tall.
 
Comes from an extensive Massachusetts collection whose owner had personal ties to both the potter and the artist.  She gave me the privilege of buying this and many other Beaumont items 
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind. Slightly indented on the shoulder under the handle in the making.
