    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this 1 Gallon Redware Pot made and stamped by "John Bell, Waynesboro."

     

    John Bell made pottery in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania from 1840-1880 (H. E. Comstock, The Pottery of the Shenandoah Valley Region, 106-162).

     

    This beauty features a Tooled Rim, Tooled Shoulder, Rounded Sides, and Pottery Stamp.  Measures 7 3/4" tall and 6 3/4" wide across the top. 

     

    Fair to Good Condition.  Eight chips around the outside of the rim (1/4" to 1"), and a 2 1/2' hairline from the rim to the left of the pottery stamp.  No inner rim or base chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
