Coming to you from Doc's Crocks, is this wonderful 8" Canning Jar made and stamped by "John Bell, Waynesboro."
This is the mark of John Bell who worked in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania from 1833-1880 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 47-50).
This beauty features a Tooled Rim designed for a Lid, the Pottery Stamp, and a Celadon Green Glaze. Stands 8" tall.
Excellent Condition. A 1/2" chip inside the rim. That's it! No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
