Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "John Burger, Rochester." 
 
This is the mark of John Burger who founded the family's pottery under this stamp and ran it from 1854-1867 (William Ketchum, American Stoneware, p. 74).
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Floral Executed with a Slip Cup.  The floral had two leaves that support a blossom encompassing the capacity number "2."  Stands 14 1/2" tall. 
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
