Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Merchant Jug made for "H. A. Johnson & Co., Headquarters from Baker's & Confectioners Supplies, Boston, Mass."
 
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features the Company Name, Address, and Product in a Fancy Stenciled Label. Unusual form with tall, narrow neck and wide base. Probably for pouring things like vanilla, etc. Measures 8 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  Some surface glaze craze lines.  That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A kiln touch on the shoulder in the front and a chip on the underside of the footer-- both in the making.
