Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Script Jug made for "Julius Solomon, 223 Springfield Ave., Newark, N.J."
Solomon commissioned this jug from the Fulper Pottery in Flemington, N.J.
Circa 1900-1920, this beauty features Four Lines of Bold Cobalt Script Advertising that Fills the Front. Stands 11 1/4" tall.
Very Good Condition. A minor 1/8" chip on the shoulder, two chips on the bottom edge (1/4", 1/2"), and some darkened glaze crazing of age. No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. Slightly convex on the bottom so it rocks when first set down and a spot of extra clay on the "J" of Julius in the making.
