Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "L. B. Dilliner,

    New Geneva, PA."

This is the work of Leander Dilliner, son of S. R. Dilliner, who ran the pottery in New Geneva from 1874-1880 (Phil Schaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners  pp. 166).

This beauty features Stenciled and Freehand Decoration.  A straight stripe accents the rim, a squiggle stripe enhances the shoulder, the company advertising resides in the center, and another straight stripe accents the bottom.  An unusual feature is a ladder of four stripes on each side below the cobalt accents on the handle terminals.   Stands 13 1/4" tall.

Very Good Condition. Two adjacent chips inside the rim (1/2", 1").  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Somewhat "wonky" (official term! lol) in the making.
