Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Uncommon Large Yellow Ware Slip Striped Crock.
This beauty is the largest size of the yellow ware canisters and crock in the Dandy-Line of Kitchen Ware made by Brush-McCoy of Roseville, Ohio. The line is found in the 1915 Catalogue of the company (Martha and Steve Sanford, The Guide to Brush-McCoy Pottery, pp. 40-41).
Typically, this larger size was stenciled "Sugar", but this one is the more uncommon plain version.
This beauty features Three Slip Stripes in the Middle characteristic of the Dandy-Line. This is the big size: 6 1/2" tall and 9 1/2" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. A 1/2" chip on the outside of the rim (pic. 4) and two chips at the base (1/4", 1/2"). No inner rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
