Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this fantastic 6 Gallon Stoneware Crock from the Midwest.

Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features a "6" Capacity Number Encircled with an Array of Mounted Circular and Diamond Shapes, and an Eagle Holding Three Arrows and a Banner in its Tallons.  The Banner Reads, "E. Pluribus Unum" ("Out of many, one"), the motto of the United States.   Many of these are weakly stencilled, but this one has a very crisp stencil.  Measures 14" tall and 12" wide across the top.

Excellent Condition.  A 4" surface vertical craze line under the right handle (closeup) and a couple small stains in the back.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
