    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Teapot.  

     

    Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features a Rounded Form, Vertical Spout, Handle with Thumbgrip, and Strong Cobalt Sponging.  Measures 6 1/2" to the top of the lid.  

     

    Very Good Condition.  A 1" line from the rim inside, a line around the inside bottom, and Y on the underside-- all surface and not seen on the other side.  Minor nibbles around the rim and a 3/8" chip on the tip of the spout.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  The lid has a 1/4" chip on the underside at the edge.  Otherwise as made.
