    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Little Redware Inkwell in the Form of a Pig.

     

    Dating to the late 19th century, this Piggy is Molded, but Someone Put a Hole on Top and Formed a Ring around it to Create an Inkwell.  Albany slip glaze over redware. Measures 4" long, 1 3/4" wide, and 2" tall. 

     

    Good Condition.  A chip on the ears, snout, right front leg, and a nibble on the tail.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  

     

    Was surprised how rare a pig inkwell is.  Very few on record.
