Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Merchant Jug made for "Lou Rosey, Dealer in Wines, Liquors, and Fine Cigars, Lancaster, Ohio." 
 
I suspect this piece was made by Burley and Winter of Crooksville, Ohio. Their stenciling used this font and this tint of blue. 
 
Circa 1900 to 1920, this beauty features a Small 1/2 Gallon Size, and Six Lines of Stenciled Advertising that includes the Desired Reference to Cigars.  Stands 8 1/2" tall.
 
Good Condition.  A chip inside the spout (3/8"), four chips on the platform (1/8" to 3/8"), three minor nibbles on the base and three larger chips on the underside at the edge in the back (1/2" to 1 1/2").  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
