    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this little jug that reads, "'Well I'll be Jugged!' Here's Another Jug with Compliments of Luke J. Kearney, 1811 L. St. N.W., Washington, D.C.  Christmas 1903." 

     

    Luke J. Kearney (1866-1933) was born in Washington, DC to Irish immigrant parents. He was reported as working in the restaurant or saloon business in the 1900, 1910, and 1920 census records.  This jug was given away as a premium to stir up other business. 

     

    Circa 1903 [how is that for detective work!]. this beauty features a Small Size, Two-Tone Glaze, and a Label with 7 Lines  of Advertising with a Date and Christmas Greetings.  Stands 5 1/2" tall.

     

    Good Condition.  The handle came off in two neat pieces and had been neatly reglued (closeup).  Otherwise as made.
