Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this 3 Gallon Stoneware Jug made in and stamped for "Lyons." 
 
This is the work of Thompson Harrington who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1852 to 1872 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 73-74).
 
This beauty features a Large Size, Clear Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, Freehand "3" Capacity Number, and a Leaf Created with a Slip Cup.  Stands 16 3/4" tall.   
 
Very Good Condition.  Some staining around the spout and base, a 1/4" chip near the bottom, and a 1 1/2" chip on the underside at the edge.  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
