    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug made in "Lyons."

     

    This is the work of Thompson Harrington who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1852 to 1872 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 73-74).

     

    This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Freehand 1 Capacity Number Resting on the Stem of a Half-Moon-Shaped Leaf.  The leaf is composed of five strokes of shiny cobalt.  Stands 11" tall. 

     

    Excellent Condition.  Some normal surface wear.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
