    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug from Lyons, New York. 

     

    It is easily attributed to Jacob Fisher who made pottery in Lyons, New York from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74). 

     

    This beauty features the Town Name "Lyons" in Fancy Script and Riding a Tornado.   Stands 13 1/2" tall.  Comes with an old carved pine stopper. 

     

    Excellent Condition.  A 1/2" chip on the left side of the spout back by the handle and a stain run on the back below the handle.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
