Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Ovoid Jar made and stamped by "N. Clark & Co., Mount Morris."
This is the work of Nathan Clark of Athens, N.Y. who ran a satellite pottery in Mount Morris, New York from 1835-1848 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 66, 74).
This beauty features an Early Ovoid Form and Pottery Stamp. Stands 11 1/2" Tall.
Excellent Condition. A 1/4" flake and ping (closeup) on the top of the rim. That's it! No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Some stone pings, including a 1" one on top of the left handle, in the making.
