Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Nichols & Boynton, Burlington, VT. "
 
This is the stamp of Nichols and Boynton who worked together in Burlngton from 1854-1855 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 45). 
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Fancy Floral Decoration Created with a Slip Cup.  Stands 11 3/4" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  Two 1/4" chips on the bottom edge.  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.   A kiln touch in the floral and a  2" chip on the bottom left front-- both in the making.
