Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Nichols & Boynton, Burlington, VT. "
 
This is the stamp of Nichols and Boynton who worked together in Burlngton from 1854-1855 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 45). 
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Fancy Brushed Cobalt Flower.  The flower has 10 leaves of various sizes and shapes, a curly stem, and a blossom with six base petals and two curvy petals that jump out of the middle.  Stands 11 1/2" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  Two 1/2" chip on the back bottom.  That's it!  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
