Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare Jug made and Embossed by "The Ohio Stoneware, Akron, Ohio." 
 
I can find no reference to this company or any other example of stoneware marked by this company.  Thus my conclusion that this jug is rare. 
 
This beauty features the Platform Shape with the Company Name Embossed around the Shoudler.  Stands 11" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  Two chips on the top of the platform (1/4", 3/8"), three chips on the bottom edge (1/4" to 1/2"), and a 3" hairline on the underside where the dark line is located.  No spout chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
