Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Old Sleepy Eye Standing Indian Blue and Gray Flemish Pitcher.
It was made by Weir of Monmouth, Illinois.
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features an Indian Leaning on His Gun by Some Tepees on one side, and an Elaborate Ceremony with a Medicine Man on the other. Gray background with cobalt accents on the embossed decoration. Crisp mold lines. Stands 8" tall.
Very Good Condition. Four pinhead-size nibbles on the rimi, an 1/8" nibble on top edge of the bottom trim, and two chips on the base edge (1/8", 1/4")(closeup 1). No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. A chip on the bottom below the handle in the making and glazed over (closeup 2).
