Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Old Sleepy Eye Standing Indian Blue and Gray Flemish Pitcher.
It was made by Weir of Monmouth, Illinois.
As stamped on the bottom, it was made for "Flemish Jugs, The Cincinnati Glass & China Company."
Dating to the early 20th century, this beauty features an Indian Leaning on His Gun by Some Tepees on one side, and an Elaborate Ceremony with a Medicine Man on the other. Gray background with cobalt accents on the embossed decoration. Crisp mold lines. Stands 8" tall.
Very Good Condition. A 1/4" chip on the right side of the spout (closeup) and a 1" chip on the footer at the edge. That's it! No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. A narrow 1/2" clay void on the bottom fold of the base in the making.
