Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by the "Ottman Bro's & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."
This is the stamp of William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1872-1892 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 68).
This beauty sports a Thick and Sturdy Rim, Applied Handles, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Freehand Cobalt Stylized Floral Bouquet. Measures 10 3/4" tall and 11" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Two 1/4" chips inside the rim, a minor 1/8" nibble on the top of the rim, and some light staining from use. That's it! No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. Stone ping to the right of the decoration in the making.
