Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Preserve Jar made and stamped by the "Ottman Bro's & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."
 
This is the stamp of William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1872-1892 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 68).
 
This beauty sports a clear pottery stamp with cobalt wash, and a Freehand Cobalt Floral in Bright Cobalt.  Stands 12 1/4" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A 3/8" chip on the rim in the back and one on the right handle, a minor 1/4" chip on the bottom ridge of the tooled rim, and a few small and light stains.  That's it!  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
