    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon 2 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by the "Palatine Pottery, Palatine, W. VA."  (Modern Fairmont)

     

    This beauty was made around 1880 and features the Pottery Advertising in an Arch in Large Letters Encircling a Rearing Horse Decoration.  As you know, not a common piece.  Stands 11 3/4" tall.

     

    Fair to Good Condition.  A three legged crack on the underside that formed a wedge on the front bottom left that has been reglued (closeup 1), and another curved line on the left side at the bottom (closeup 2).  No chips or stains.
