Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Ovoid Jug made and stamped by "R. W. Russell."
 
This is the mark of Ralph W. Russell of Beaver, Pennsylvania.  Russell ran the pottery in Beaver in the 1840's to his death in 1868 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, 143-44).
 
This beauty features an Ovoid Shape, Tooled Shoulder, Pottery Stamp, and Freehand Brushed Cobalt Vining Across the Front.  Measures 13 1/4" tall. 
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
