Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 9 1/4" Ironstone Rabbitware Plate.
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features a Center Transfer Scene of Three Brown Rabbits and a Green Frog in a meadow of ochre-colored grass under a bird-filled sky.  The scene is surrounded by Freehand Stick Spatter Decoration in the Virginia Rose Pattern.  The floral is a vibrant combination of polychrome red, blue and green.  A red stripe at the border and a blue circle in the middle provide structure to the decoration.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Two 1/8" nibbles on the left side at the edge not visible on the front (closeup 1) and some overall fine crazing of age.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A glaze skip on the edge on the left side in the making (closeup 2).
