Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare Yellow Ware Miniature Wash Basin.
It was part of a miniature pitcher and bowl made in Bennington, Vermont between 1850 and 1880. See this piece in the picture above from Lisa McAllister and John Michel, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book I, p. 121.
This beauty features a Gracefully Flared Rim, Tapered Sides, Regal Footer, and Rockingham Drip Glaze. Measures 1 3/4" tall and 3 1/2" wide.
Good Condition. Restoration of a chip under the rim (closeup). Otherwise as made.
