Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare Yellow Ware Pitcher in the Shield Pattern.
 
This beauty features a Large Shield on Each Side Framed by a Border of Six Embossed Rings Top and Bottom.  Butterscotch colored glaze.  Stands 8" tall.
 
You can find a fine writeup on this item in Taylor and Lowrance's, Collector's Encyclopedia of Salt Glaze Stoneware , p. 74. These are very uncommon in blue and white and rare in brown.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.  Some fine bubbles in the glaze and a a narrow strand of excess clay near the bottom in the makng.
