    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Crock with Tulip Garland.

     

    It is easy to attribute to Richard Remmey who ran the family pottery in Philadelphia from the 1860's until the turn of the century. (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 8-10).

     

    Circa 1870, this beauty features a Squared Rim, Applied Tooled Handles with Cobalt Wash, and Four Large Brushed Cobalt Sideways Tulips Creating a Garland around the Outside. Generous, dark cobalt.  Measures 9 3/4" tall and 11" wide across the top. 

     

    Excellent Condition. Some water glass rings inside from use. Otherwise as made.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, outer stains, or restoration.
