    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks, is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Cream Pot made and stamped by "Riedinger & Caire, Poughkeepsie, N.Y." 

     

    This is the stamp of Philip Riedinger and Adam Caire of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. who partnered in stoneware from 1857 to 1878 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 65).

     

    This beauty features a Squatty Cream Pot Form, Pottery Stamp, and a Large Bird on a Branch Decoration in Bold Cobalt.  Measures 9 1/2" tall and 10" wide across the top.  

     

    Good Condition.   Three chips on the rim in the back (1/4" to 3/4") and some staining on the lower half from use.  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
