Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this 2 Gallon Preserve Jar made and stamped by "S. T. Brewer, Havana."
This is the work of Stephen T. Brewer who potted in Havana from 1853-1859 (Allen Sweet, The Stoneware of Havana, N.Y. and Its Makers, pp. 44-51).
This beauty features a Tooled Rim and Shoulder, Applied Handles, Strong Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and Gorgeous Folk Art Floral with Two Tulips with Center Dots that Fills the Front of the Jar with Brushed, Bold, and Bright Cobalt. Stands 11" tall.
Good Condition. Two 1/4" chips inside the rim, a 3/8" chip on the right handle, staining from use, and a hairline running horizontally halfway around near the base and across the bottom. No outer rim or base chips or restoration.
