    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 11/2 Gallon Pitcher made and stamped by "Satterlee & Mory, Fort Edward, N.Y."

     

    This is the stamp of George Satterlee and Michael Mory who ran this pottery together from 1859-1885 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68).

     

    This beauty sports a Tall Tooled Rim, Tall and Canted Neck, Bulbous Body, Applyed Handles, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Bird on a Branch Decoration in Bright and Rich Cobalt. Stands 10 3/4" tall. 

     

    Very Good Condition with Professional Restoration.  As made except for an extremely capable professional restoration to the rim above the handle and a hairline to the left of the handle (closeup).
