Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Decorated Stoneware Pitcher.
Circa 1870 and Hailing from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, this beauty features the Classic Shape with Tooled Rim, Pinched Spout, Tall Neck, Bulbous Base, and Applied Handle and a Bold Brushed Cobalt Decoration. Leaves adorn the spout and each side of the neck, while a leaf garland cascades around the middle. Similar decoration can be seen on Solomon Bell pieces. Stands 11" tall.
Very Good Condition. A 1/2" chip inside the rim in the back and some chipping at the spout (closeup). No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
