Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jar made and stamped by "P. Hermann."
This is the stamp of Peter Hermann who made pottery on Eager Street in Baltimore from 1850-1872 (William Ketchum, American Stoneware, p. 98).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp, a Large Brushed Cobalt Tulip on Each Side, and a Honey Brown Glaze. Stands 12 3/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. Some glaze wear around the bottom. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. A couple stone pings and a kiln touch/recess on one side in the making.
