Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Little Lidded and Banded Yellow Ware Butter Crock.
It was made by Pfaltzgraff of York, Pennsylvania between 1920 and 1930 (Lisa McAllister, Collector's Guide to Yellow Ware, Book III, p. 119).
This beauty featues a Straight Side, Distinct Footer, and Two Rust-Colored Mocha Bands Framing Two White Mocha Bands. The matching lid repeats the stripe pattern. Small size with the base measuring 3 3/4" tall and 5" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Two pinhead-size nibbles inside the rim of the base, and a 1/2" chip on the side of the seating ring on the underside of the lid (closeup). Other no other chips or any hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration on either piece.
