Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Jar made and stamped by "Solomon Bell, Strasburg, VA."
 
Solomon Bell was one of the most famous of the Bell Family Potters, working as a potter in Strasburg from the early 1850's until his death in 1882.
 
This beauty features a Smaller Size, Tooled Rim Designed for Easily Tying a Cover Over the Top, Clear Pottery Stamp, and a Dangling Tulip on Each Side.  Stands 8" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A flat 1" chip on top of the rim (closeup).  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
