    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug whose decoration indicates that it was made by the potters, Brady and Ryan.  

     

    Samuel Brady and John J. Ryan ran their pottery in Ellenville, N.Y. from 1878-1897 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 66).

     

    This beauty features a Large Bird Perched on a Branch Decoration.  The little birdie is drawn in shiny cobalt.  Stands 13 3/4" tall. 

     

    Excellent Condition. Some fine crazing of age.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A salt drip on each side of the handle in the making.
