Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Uncommon 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Wax Sealer with Sprig of Violets from Southwestern Pennsylvania.
 
Dating around 1870 this beauty features Two Top and One Bottom Stripe that Frame an Elaborate Sprig of Violets.  One of the nicest floral decorations on a jar from this region and one I seldom ever see.  Stands 8" tall.
 
Very Good Condition.  A couple minor nibbles and a 1/2" chip on each side of the rim, and some light scattered staining from use.  No inner rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
