Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jar made by "T. F. Reppert, Greensboro, Pa." 
 
Thomas Reppert made pottery solo in Greensboro from 1884-1890 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 157-159).  
 
This beauty features Top to Bottom Decoration.  From the top down is a broad stripe under the rim, a wavy stripe at the shoulder, the company advertising with 2 crocuses filling the center, a freehand capacity number "2" framed by leaves, and a broad straight stripe at the bottom.   All the decoration is complete and crisp.  Stands 11 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition. Scattered light staining.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
