    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "T. G. Daub, Easton, PA." 

     

    This is the work of Theodore Gustav Daub who made stoneware in Easton in th 1870's and 1880's. (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, 29-30).

     

    This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Sunburst Decoration. The decoration required 28 brushstrokes of cobalt.  Stands 13 1/4" tall

     

    Excellent Condition. A faint 1" hairline in the spout (closeup).  Otherwise as made!
