Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Wax Sealer Canning Jar made for the merchant "Thomas Medford, Stoves, Queensware, etc., Huntington, W. VA." 
 
Circa 1880 and made in Southwestern Pennsylvania, this beauty features the Wax Sealer Form and Five Lines of Stenciled Advertising.  Stands 8 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A couple 1/8" nibbles on the inner rim.  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Some tiny fleck losses of cobalt in the lettering in the making.
