Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Tiny Decorated Butter or Cake Crock.

It is easy to attribute to Richard Remmey who ran the family pottery in Philadelphia from the 1860's until the turn of the century (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 8-10).

Circa 1860, this beauty features a Small Size, Tooled Shoulder, and Three Brushed Cobalt Tulips on the Side.   The cobalt is rich and shiny.  Measures just 4" tall and 7" wide across the top.

Very Good Condition. Small chips around the inside of the rim from use with a lid (1/8" to 3/8").  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
