Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Farrar & Stearns, Fairfax, VT."
 
This is a short-lived partnership between either George or Stephen Farrar and a gentleman with the last name of Stearns.  Little is known (William C. Ketchum, American Stoneware, p. 44).
 
This jug features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash.  Stands 14" tall
 
Fair to Good Condition.  A 1/4" chip on the spout, a semi-circular glaze lift on the shoulder on each side of the handle (closeups), and a 1/2" chip and glaze flakes around the base.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
