    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon 8" Wax Sealer Canning Jar with made in "Greensboro, PA." 

     

    This is the work of Frank Hamilton and John Jones who worked in Greensboro, PA from 1865 to 1897 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 154-157). 

     

    Circa 1880, this beauty features the Tooled and Grooved Wax Sealer Form, Company Address, and a Fancy Emblem.  Stands 8" tall.

     

    You see these jars with the emblem, but rarely with the address above.  

     

    Very Good Condition.  A couple nibbles and three chips on the inner rim (1/4" to 1/2").  That's it!  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
